Crab-eating Macaques are distinctive because of their very long tail, normally longer than the body which is used to aid balance. They live in a wide variety of tropical and sub-tropical habitats, from rainforest to mangroves, tropical jungles, forests and even human settlements. Crab-eating Macaques are found in many parts of south-east Asia including Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.
