Muscovy Ducks appear worldwide in their domesticated state due to the fact that they are generally gentle in behaviour. Originally from Central and South America, Muscovy Ducks feed on roots, stems, leaves and other plants, including crops. Muscovy Ducks have distinctive pinkish red fleshy outgrowths on their face, known as caruncles which extend from the back of their eyes to their beak. They are large ducks, males are double the size of females, weighing around 7lbs.
