Marbled Spinefoot (Marbled Spinefoot) safely ensconced in a nook formed by rubble on a shallow lagoon seabed. Rabbitfish are herbivorous, found mostly in shallow waters where there is rich algae growth on the corals as they feed on benthic algae growing on the reef. They are nervous fish with venomous spines which they use for defence. Their sting is not fatal to humans however it can cause severe pain.
