Bare-throated Tiger Heron perched upon a fallen tree by the rivers edge. Bare-throated Tiger herons generally live near mangroves or tropical swamps where they can safely perch on trees and hunt for food. They are distinguished from other Tiger Herons by their dark cap and chestnut brown neck feathers.
