Amur leopard roaring with aggression. Amur leopards are a critically endangered species, their wild population has now reduced to less then 40 individuals. The main cause of their loss of population is human activity including poaching and development within their natural environment. To combat their reduction in numbers, a breeding plan is currently underway with plans to re-introduce them into some Nature reserves.

Diet: Roe deer, sika deer, badgers, hares
Habitat: Forests with harsh winters and deep snow as well as hot summers
Distribution: Far east Russia, North east China
Conservation: Critically endangered
